Our modern truck with rear mounted hiab crane has a 6-tonne cartage capacity. The hiab is capable of easily lifting 4-tonnes but can do more depending on the load and situation.
We have very experienced drivers, that can advise you on lift, reach and weight capacity for loads.
Our regular cartage consists of building products from supplier to site; bulk scaffolding to construction sites; bulk items that have been transported via rail to Blenheim, delivered from rail yard to final destination. Vineyard supplies such as posts and frost fans (our hiab is then used to stand the frost fans into place).
The hiab crane is regularly used for easy access and placement of structural steel, and small precast concrete panels to building sites. Various interesting jobs include the installation of a generator for a power company and lifting parts into place on a WW2 plane restoration. It has also been used to install an engine into a launch refurbishment, requiring exact placement of the boom through the cabin of the launch; and lifting landscaping pots/urns/art while they are placed.
